Our tote features a painting by artist Tamara Esposito, depicting a sheep in the Uruguayan countryside.
Measures 13.4" H x 18.5" W x 4.7" L, includes an inner pocket and a zipper closure at the top.

The image on our tote bag features an Hornero bird (Rufous hornero), a bird which is very common in the Uruguayan countryside. We decided to feature this bird in the image because it is also a maker, crafting its home from the materials around it, including wool! The hornero bird is often found where sheep are grazing, building their homes along the rails of fences. Both the male and female, who mate for life, work together to build these nests, taking their time to build a home which will endure through time.
We are grateful to the artist Tamara Esposito for creating this lovely work of art.
Tamara participates in a project in her home country of Argentina, Banco de Bosques. This project works to save native forests which are at risk, strategically planting trees to help save the forests of Argentina. We are excited to be able to work with Tamara to support this program as well.

We use only the finest quality wools for our yarns. Our wool is ethically sourced and sustainably processed using renewable energy in Uruguay.

We always recommend washing by hand and laying flat to dry, in order to best preserve your finished items.
Superwash yarns will tolerate being washed in the washer and dried in a dryer.
Non-superwash yarns must be hand washed, as they will felt if they are put in a washer and/or dryer.

All orders ship on Friday.
Any order submitted by Monday night will ship Friday of the same week.
We offer $8 flat rate shipping on all domestic orders.
Shipping for international orders will be charged according to the cost of shipping.

The Beauty of Hand Dyed
Dyeing by hand means that each skein will have it's own intricacies. Each skein is its own unique work of art. Of course, this means there can be a variation in coloring, hue, and saturation, even within the same dye batch. We do our best to ensure consistency, please please be aware that there will be variations from skein to skein and among different bases.
Non-superwash bases will have softer, more subtle colors with less variation.
